Monday

Guys, I did it. I went to the dark side and got an iPhone. I figured I wanted to be ready and start the New Year fresh, and so far that's what I'm doing. New Year, new everything apparently. It's taking a while to adjust though. I've been an Android girl since forever, and I loved the organization and tidiness of my folders, but I mean an iPhone does that too but I do miss those folders and how easy it was to manage. Besides that, yes I do love the simplicity of an iPhone. Still a couple of things to get the hang of but nothing to drastic.

Anyway, how's your Holiday shopping going? So far I've done none but for myself, haha. I mean, this always happens to me and I find myself shopping last minute which I secretly love and hate.  Love the thrill and adrenaline but hate the traffic. I'm just glad I picked on little things here and there from my what my family want and actually need. So yeah, can't wait to shop Friday.

My grandmother is in town so the house smells like food 24/7. My moms happy though because she can finally take a break from cooking, but it also means I need to hit the gym more. I've been getting pretty good at going to the gym and the kids I look after always keep me on my toes, so I'm getting there eventually.

Besides all the good stuff, I started binge watching Netflix's new original series The OA. I saw the trailer when it came out this weekend and I was pretty intrigued. I just don't like how they compared it to Stranger Things.

Like, the similarities are there but this is a completely different show. I also discovered I like watching sci-fi. Which reminds me that I haven't finished watching Penny Dreadful, ahh too many shows. I'm currently halfway through The OA series and I like it. Also, Lucious Malfoy is in it so there's that.

So yeah, that's pretty much what's going on over here. How's that polar vortex for you northerners? I wish I was in the cold so if you want to trade places let me know! I hope you're all well and I'll talk to you soon!

Music: Lady Gaga

I really like Lady Gaga's Joanne. It's definitely a different tune and tone from her previous albums, and I wrote about it about a month ago. I don't know if I have a favorite song from the album since I enjoy each one particularly, but I do really like Million Reasons. The interpretations are endless, and I love when she shows off her vocals in songs like this one. If you haven't seen the video yet, go ahead. I tend to belt this song out in the shower or while driving. It's so damn gooooood!

Wednesday

I'm writing this post with a sheet mask on my face. I bought two of the Tony Moly I'm Real mask sheet masks, and I currently have the Red Wine on my face. I never tried a sheet mask, it's my first time, and yes it does smell like actual Red Wine. Will it leave my face smooth and pore free? To be announced. I also bought the Seaweed mask, which I'll probably try next week. I have combination skin, so I try not to use a lot of products on my face when it's time to clean and take my makeup off. I still have my samples from Mario Badescu, but my go to is Cetaphil. Guess I'll read the reviews on the masks though. It gives a cool and soothing effect.

Anyway, I'm going to Pinterest and gather gift ideas that I plan to post some time this week or early next week. Just me, my laptop and my coffee. Hope you're having a great day!

Playlist: December 2016

As promised, here is this months playlist. Like previous playlists, I try to add songs that you don't listen to every day, and pretty much songs that I love to have on repeat no matter what. The songs below are fairly new, others are not. Regardless, they have flow and a way with words that absolutely hooks me to the song. I hope you like it and enjoy!

Tuesday

I feel like such a jerk for not having this month's playlist yet. I could have done it this past weekend, but no. Instead I decide to be a bum and catch up on my sleep and whatnot. But nonetheless, it will be done! Did you watch the Critic's Choice last night? Any favorite winners? I was so happy that Mahershala Ali won for Moonlight. I still haven't seen the movie, but I love him as an actor, particularly his work on House of Cards and Luke Cage. Seriously guys, he's amazing. I think Best Picture is down to Moonlight and La La Land, another movie I've read rave reviews about and am dying to see.

On another note, I am officially done with this semester. WOOOO HOOO!!Today's class was all about screening our music videos, and I'm actually quite impressed with the other groups work. I feel like this class was fun to take and needed to set us up for the future. I'm excited to take the Workshop class next semester. I really need to get myself together and work my butt off to make great work! But right now, it's two weeks of "Me" time and hanging out with friends I have neglected because of the crazy semester I've had. I PROMISE TO START WORKING ON THE DECEMBER PLAYLIST RIGHT NOW. I'll probably binge watch Fuller House as I work on it. Talk to you guys soon!
