Wow guys, I really have been busy...and tired! Thanksgiving break was a lot of fun though. That Wednesday I went to a block party in Sunset with friends. Thanksgiving Thursday was filled with food and then I went to Macy's with my mom and sister to buy Ralph Lauren pillows. They were $7, so of course I had to get at least two! Later that night my sister and I went Black Friday shopping with friends. I finally got my all-in-one printer! I've been needing one since forever and I got mine for $40. Bonus, it's a Canon! That Saturday I spent some time with my godchildren then went to a Friendsgiving, and then the next day I met up with friends for drinks. I'm telling you, it was pretty fun and busy!

Overall, finally scanning my photography pictures from spring semester was the highlight of my break. I'm so happy to share them with you all. Below are two of my favorites, I hope you like them! Also, I will try to post more often even when I'm tired and all I want to do is sleep! Talk to you soon!

Hello lovelies! Super sorry I have not posted or written anything since last week, but I have been quite the busy bee. There's like three/four weeks left till this semester is over and we are currently planning our last project which is a music video. It looks like a lot of fun and I can't wait to start shooting.

So a little update over here. I got a pretty cool babysitting job which fits perfectly with my school schedule. The kids are amazing and it's fairly close to my house so yay, This weekend was filled with baby/kids birthdays. Saturday was my neighbors kid first birthday, and yesterday was my goddaughter's third.

Overall, it was a really nice weekend and I am super tired. On a good note, my sleep schedule is starting to look pretty good. I've been waking up before 12 and making the most of my days. That was my quick update. Hope you're having a good start to the week. Also, I CAN'T BELIEVE THANKSGIVING IS THIS WEEKEND! AHH!

Inspiration: Fall Beauty

I LOVE everything about these looks, particularly how perfect they are for the holidays. Whether you are feeling chic or bold, I think they are perfect. I may have to give some of these a try since I'm starting to become a social butterfly, so I think it'd be fun to dabble into. I think you should go for it too! Just sayin'.

Is it me or are Wednesday's pretty long? Like, I feel like it's been such a long day. Is it the time change? Is it me? I don't know. I have been having a pretty productive Wednesday though. I took my sister to school, I've been babysitting and now I'm taking a little break before I commence with the rest of my Wednesday. I found the "bullet journal" I was supposed to be working on since this summer, but it now has turned into my little planner. I do plan to make a nice bullet journal for the new year. I know it'll keep me organized and preoccupied with decorating and drawing. I will make this happen. By the way, I have not finished The Crown. I was going to on Sunday but I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer after my trip. I think I'll finish that tonight if not tomorrow. Well, I hope you're having a nice Wednesday so far. If it feels like a long day, you're not the only one!

So I definitely needed a day to relax, hence why I didn't have a Monday intro yesterday. I was in Sarasota for the weekend for a friend's birthday and it was so nice to get away and spend some time with friends. My friend, Giselle, goes to Ringling art school and it was so nice and cool seeing all the animation accomplishments from previous alumni. She also showed me her game art project for this freaking cool. On Sunday we took a stroll at the beach, Turtle Beach. An actual Turtle Beach. Sadly, no turtles were spotted. I think we were a week or two early before they hatched, still it was pretty amazing being on an actual turtle beach. It was a great weekend nonetheless, and I sure can't wait to go back and take another trip elsewhere.

Well, I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are having a good week thus far. Can you believe Thanksgiving is already next week? Time I tell ya, it just doesn't stop! Talk to you soon lovelies!

I have been procrastinating with packing for my weekend trip. We are supposed to leave tomorrow morning but my clothes are just laying there, staring at me waiting to pack them away. Adding more to the level of procrastination: The Crown. I am on episode four of the Netflix original which follows the story of Queen Elizabeth becoming Queen Elizabeth. It's pretty intriguing because it shows her marriage to Prince Philip and the politics behind leading a country. Also, Matt Smith is in and it's pretty weird seeing him be kind of a douche. WHAT HAPPENED DOCTOR? Clair Foy is awesome as the role of Elizabeth and like I said, I'm only on episode four and it's great!

It's also been a great distraction from this weeks events. I don't want to talk about it at the moment. I'm hoping this trip goes great since all I want to do is relax and enjoy my friend's birthday. So I'll leave you with this. Love and kindness to you all.

November 10, 2016

I woke up today still confused over what happened Tuesday. However, I feel like I want to do more, learn more, help others more. Reading ways to help has been quite helpful for me. I know I don't say a lot or share enough of my personal life. My daily diary posts are tedious compared to what's really going on in the world, but they have been simple thoughts and feelings of what I have been going through. Know this readers, no matter where you are, I will be there for you. Whether it be through a simple post on the blog or if we reach out to one another, I will do what I can to help you. Do not let others opinion  and beliefs diminish your opinions and beliefs. Speak up and fight for what you believe in. I know I will. We will get through this and make a difference for ourselves and the future generations.

Playlist: November 2016

It really took me a while to make a playlist for this month. With everything going on, I got distracted but I did it nonetheless. Not sure if there is an actual theme to this months playlist, but I'm sure there is one that I didn't notice. I mean I named it Fall Feels lol. Regardless, I love each and every one of these songs. I listen to them on the daily and hope that it resonates with you too. Enjoy!

So THAT happened. I was following the election results last night until I couldn't handle it anymore. There were so many feelings: rage, confusion, astonishment, grief, you name it. The rants between my sister, best friend and me still continue today, and the fear of the unknown looms in our conversations. What we all agree on is that yes change is coming, but we, women of color, can still make a difference and fight for what we believe in. All the negative comments on social media is not going to change the results. Yes, rant all you want, I'm not saying you shouldn't but lets start making that change. It's time to wake up and make a difference and help pave a better world for our future children, their children. and their children's children. It is up to us! I'll leave it as is right now. There's not much I want to say anymore.

Hope. Change. Peace. Love. Kindness.

November 7, 2016

This Daylight Savings Time threw me off this weekend. I binge-watched Jessica Jones for the third time Saturday night and was pretty restless until I realized it had to do with the time change. Still, it's nice to finally feel some sort of fall season here.I had a pretty busy weekend working on my group project which went by pretty well. I haven't seen the final cut, but from what I've seen so far from the rough, it looks pretty good so I'm happy.

Yesterday was my little cousin's fifth birthday party. She's my cousin's child, so it's weird calling her my cousin. I settle for niece since it fits well. Anyway, it was unicorn themed and pretty small and intimate. She had a blast riding ponies and jumping in the bounce house. You know, your typical children's party. It was nice catching up with my cousins though. We live pretty close and don't really see each other so we're trying to change that.

Besides that my sister and I are planning a trip this weekend to Sarasota. It's our friend's birthday on Monday so we are planning to see her this weekend with a couple of friends. I'm actually pretty excited about it. I haven't been out of town in a while, so I'm giddy. I'll leave you know now. I'm pretty tired and I have to prepare for class today. Hope you have a great start to the week! Talk to you soon!
