Books: A Discovery of Witches

I stumbled upon A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness on a trip to Barnes and Noble last week and devoured the book within a day or two. I had to google it, and realized that it's an All Souls Trilogy. So of course, I bought the second book and am almost halfway through the book. What caught my curiosity with book one was the cover. And second of all, I needed a random book to stimulate my brain, and am thankful I found this series because once again I am reminded of why I love reading so much, and honestly see myself writing a great novel one day.

When historian Diana Bishop opens a bewitched alchemical manuscript in Oxford’s Bodleian Library it represents an unwelcome intrusion of magic into her carefully ordinary life. Though descended from a long line of witches, she is determined to remain untouched by her family’s legacy. She banishes the manuscript to the stacks, but Diana finds it impossible to hold the world of magic at bay any longer.

I am falling in love with these characters and can't wait to read what happens next!
