Books, Books, Books!

If you've been following my blog, then you know that I am an avid reader and always share what I'm reading with you all. I've been kinda off my reading A-game, but now that this semester is almost over I'm going to get back into my reading life. Here are a couple of books I'm going to hint at my family and friends as my Christmas wishlist. There's more I want to read, but this is just a starting point. Enjoy!

Dark Places - Gillian Flynn
Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in “The Satan Sacrifice" of Kinnakee, Kansas.” She survived—and famously testified that her fifteen-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, the Kill Club—a secret secret society obsessed with notorious crimes—locates Libby and pumps her for details. They hope to discover proof that may free Ben. Libby hopes to turn a profit off her tragic history: She’ll reconnect with the players from that night and report her findings to the club—for a fee. As Libby’s search takes her from shabby Missouri strip clubs to abandoned Oklahoma tourist towns, the unimaginable truth emerges, and Libby finds herself right back where she started—on the run from a killer.

How are you guys this Tuesday, wherever you are? It's still gloomy here, we had a flood advisory since Saturday, and let me tell you, Florida is sinking. My poor car has endured driving in the rain and in puddles, it's going to fry! I'm all for rain, I love the rain but not when I'm driving! It's madness. On a good note, this weather calls for me finally wearing sweaters and boots...FINALLY! I'm all cozied up in school as I write this post, sleepy too. I'm done with a class and have three to go and I can't wait to catch up with my sleep because girl sure needs it. Anyway, I'm going to post a bit before I get back to watching videos for class. I hope you're warm and safe, talk to you soon!

December 4, 2015

What a hectic couple of days, it's only getting crazier and it's only FRIDAY! I really can't wait til this semester is over in two weeks, then I'll have myself a nice little break and then back to the chaotic life that is school right now. Three more close but so far away. Anyway, that's why I haven't been able to blog much or at all, super busy and drained and I've been having much needed mental health breaks. I really do hope you're well, I'm still here and going to post a bit for now. Talk to you soon.

November 15, 2015

So everyone in the department I work in seem to be sick and it finally caught up to me this weekend. I have this sore itchy throat and pretty ugly cough, so I'm taking it easy. The weather seems to fit my mood as well, it's been gloomy since Thursday, and raining since Friday and I love it. I'm finally wearing a sweater and it's chilly and windy and gloomy and it feels like Fall showers is finally here. My sister was gone for the weekend to celebrate a dear friend's birthday on Saturday, I wish I went but alas schoolwork and projects are on my brain right now, especially since there is about 4.5 weeks left until the semester is over. I finally got an idea for a final project that I'm going to write a scrip about as soon as I get a start on one of my other projects. Crunch Time! I really can't wait for this semester to be over and Christmas and New Year's to finally be here. I need a break. Anywho, I hope you're having a great weekend. And if I have any French followers or readers, know that you're on my mind always. Stay safe.

November 6, 2015

It's FRIDAY! Let's do a happy dance because the weekend is finally here! I never thought I was going to be one of those people who beg for the weekend to come, but her I am. Anyway, I have nothing special planned this weekend except give my house a good clean and homework. I am in crunch mode! I gathered a couple of Weekend Outfit inspo since I didn't do it this Monday and I will most likely post more throughout the day when I get home. Hope you are having a MARVELOUS start to the weekend!

October 28, 2015

It's the middle of the week and I already want the weekend to get here. It's been quite gloomy and windy...and humid, but that's FLORIDA for ya. I really hope it's at least chilly this "winter" but who am I kidding, it's FLORIDA! Anywho, I need to start thinking of ideas for my final project, I don't know if I've mentioned that or if I'm repeating myself, but like yeah. I think I do have an idea though I just need to research it. UGH! Life. Well, just wanted to say hello. I'm going to post a couple of Halloween DIYs for you last minute lovers. Talk to you soon!

October 25, 2015

Hola! My life is so hectic right now I don't know how I'm even functioning to write this post. But I must, because I haven't forgotten about you guy nor have I forgotten about this blog. It's my baby (figuratively speaking). Anyway, I figured I'd post a couple of things here and there and hopefully organize my time better to blog and share wonderful things with you all. By the way, can you believe that Halloween is already this upcoming Saturday? Before you know it, Thanksgiving is here then Christmas the New Years. Ahhhh! Gotta start preparing soon!

October 5, 2015

Guys, I have become the worst at remember to blog and keep you all updated. This semester has been the most productive thus far, and the most tiring. I work part-time now too, and all I want to do when I get home is SLEEP! I love my sleep, and I mean, my sleep schedule is getting better now, but I LOVE MY SLEEP!

What have I been up to? Besides school and filming group projects, work and sleeping, I've been going out a little more than I used to. I've had this urge to go out and explore my city. I've lived here for 27 years and I just decided on this.  Womp. Besides that everything is good, I'm alive and healthy. I PROMISE YOU THAT I WILL KEEP UPDATING! Not as much as I did before, but sporadically (Cher Horowitz would be so proud I used that word).

I hope you have all been good and living life. I shall post a bit today. Talk to you soon!

HEELLLLOOO!! I know I've been a little lost, I felt lost myself, then the semester started and sort of didn't want to blog. But now I feel like I am getting things back in order and settling in this semester. I am a work in progress. Nothing new has happened, besides the new semester and heavy workload, but that's nothing I can't handle. My birthday is this Saturday and I have no idea what I am going to do. I'm craving sushi so maybe dinner is in the works as usual. Well, I just wanted to let you guys know that I am alive, and this blog is alive and I am working on it. Thanks for being patient.

August 18, 2015

So my laptop charger is a bust! I wanted to work on my blog before the semester started again then my laptop charger doesn't want to charge my laptop and I haven't been able to replace it yet. THE STRUGGLE! It's barely hanging in there. Have you guys gotten your school/college supplies ready? I have been saying "See You Later" to my sister's friends since most of them are going away, and I'm prepping myself for a new semester which starts on Monday for me, and by prepare myself I mean stocking up on coffee and tea. Besides that I finished binge watching Rebelde on Netflix. OMG, talk about reliving my teenage years watching the novela everyday after school. And I forgot how great RBD was. God I miss them. I'm still the biggest Mia and Miguel shipper. UGH, I need season 2 now. I hope you guys are doing well, and hopefully I'll get a charger soon! Talk to you later lovelies!

Books: Summer Reading List

I adore the Confessions of a Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella, however I haven't read the recent Shopaholic book due to the mixed reviews. I have however, been re-reading the series finishing a book in about a day. Taking a break from reading dark and twisty and diving into Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood's) world is refreshing. I say give it a go and read other books by Sophie Kinsella, I know I am.

Mood Board

Yes, I am jumping on the Mood Board train! I mean, why haven't I done this before? I already pin so much of Pinterest, why not gather my liking and sharing it on the blog? It took me forever to make my first Mood Board because I was trying to get in the "mood" but it finally came together. Hope you like it and prepare for the weekly Mood Board posts! *Note: none of the images above are mine, I found them on Pinterest. If any of the images above are yours, please let me know so I can properly credit.*

Hi guys! Hope you're all well. I'm doing pretty swell on my vacation, haven't actually done anything because a) the weather is unpredictable and I haven't gotten myself a tan b) I've been lazy and watching Netflix all the time because of (a) and c) I should really be working on my blog and code here and there but options (a) and (b) are happening. I'll get my groove back. Here's to what I've been up to when I'm not (a), (b) or (c), which is pretty much re-purposing old Starbucks cups and organizing my bookshelf,  and wearing loafers I've only actually worn once.

Anyway, like I said, I will get my grove back! Til then, hope you enjoy today's posts!

July 31, 2015

I am officially on vacation until school starts again in four weeks! I can finally relax and get working on the blog, I have so many ideas! I'm also working on my coding skills, and I know I'm not going to be a pro at it, but at least knowing the basics is all I really need to feel satisfied. I really can't wait to start changing the blog around. And go to the's been raining for the past two weeks here and it doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon, but it is Miami so who knows!

Anyway, just wanted to stop by to say hello, I'm going to continue planning a bit. Talk to you soon!

July 13, 2015

Hi guys! Sorry for the minor absence but I have been busy, slowly changing and making updates to the blog. As you can see, categories can be found under the header, along with the subcategories, and I added an easy widget for Pinterest and Polyvore. Besides that, I'm working on graphics and content to share with you guys! I am very optimistic about the change and it's been fun working on it. In the meantime, here what's been going on (not much really). Have a nice day and talk to you soon!

Inspiration: Summer Hair

As I said in my previous post, I cut my hair again. I used to have long hair, but that came to an end two years ago when I cut my hair short and haven't looked back since! Don't get me wrong, I liked my long hair, but I live in Miami and it's always hot here and I have a lot of hair, so having it short/medium length has been so much easier to maintain. I have made a goal to try different hairstyles and looks for the summer which shall transition into fall hairstyles. I'm also thinking of getting an ombre as a birthday present to myself in September. SO MANY IDEAS! Anyway, here are some hairstyles I found which are easy to do and great if you're on the run!

1. Side Braid - Byrdie
2. Low Chigon - The Small Things Blog
3. Celtic Knot - Twist Me Pretty
4. Side Twist - Studded Rose
5. Layered Ponytail - Once Wed
6. Macrame Braid - Byrdie

June 25, 2015

Hi guys! A little few things to update you on. First of all, is now! I bought a domain, because I have hopes that this blog is going to stick around for a long time.

Next up, I'm going to be working on Cosmicshift for a while now, little by little, so throughout your visits, if you see something off or you click something and it's not working, it's because I'm updating it. Theme, buttons, tags, etc. I am going to invest my time on fixing the blog and make it more me! Please be patient. I also updated my links from Polyvore, Pinterest, and Tumblr to redirect here, so all is swell in that department.

Anyway, just wanted to clear that up. It is so hot here in Miami, 93 degrees apparently, but it feels like 200. No really, if I could stay in a pool all day I would. Even my Starbucks ice is melting fast.

I'm running out of wardrobe ideas because it's so hot. That, and I don't leave the house unless I really have to. I can't wait for the Fall weather. Even though it never goes below 40, I still enjoy it. I CAN"T WAIT! Well, I'm off for now. I will update and renovate my blog soon. Thanks for sticking around.

Books: Summer Reading List

I have read mix reviews about the movie adaptation to Me, and Earl, And The Dying Girl, but I'm going to watch it anyway. I really don't care what people say about movies, I believe everyone should see what they want to see despite what other people are saying about it. Watch it for yourself and you be the own judge. Anyway, I do want to read the book first, just because I prefer books to movie adaptations, although I love watching the book come to life in a movie. And I'm a film student so I'm pretty much open to everything. Me, and Earl, And The Dying Girl is this week's Summer Reading List recommendation!

June 21, 2015

Happy Father's Day to your special guy! My dad just got home from work, so we're about to grill some turkey burgers in his honor. I know I've been absent, but I have more time now to work on this blog since I'm off of school for the rest of the summer....yay! Nothing much has been going on really. My highlight of the summer thought, was the Lana Del Rey concert. OMG, magical. She is magical. It was so much fun and of course I am currently living in the post-Del Rey concert blues. It's her birthday today too, ironic if you know Lana Del Rey and Fathers. Anyway, going to blog for a bit and get ideas for the rest of the week. Hope you have a lovely Father's Day and an amazing FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!
