Welcoming The New Year

Wishing you a lovely and prosperous New Year!

December 30, 2014

Tuesday

Sorry I haven't posted much this week, I've been really busy with outings, family, and having a little "me" time. I have been pushing myself into going to the gym, which I have made part of my New Year resolutions: GO TO THE GYM MORE. I think that's what I'll be doing tomorrow, thinking of good resolutions for 2015. I need to start fresh, I think everyone does, and stick to our resolutions, right? RIGHT! Let's prove everyone wrong my friends. We can do this! Positive minds, positive thoughts, positive life! I'm going to explore Polyvore and gather New Year outfits, and while I'm at it, look up last minute New Year's Eve Party DIYs. If you want to find more outfit inspiration for your New Year's Eve party, you can check out my style blog, COSMICLOVESTYLE.

Wednesday

Merry Christmas Eve and a early Merry Christmas to you! I am officially done getting ready for food and wine and presents. Us Hispanics celebrate Christmas Eve going into Christmas, opening presents at midnight, so as I write this I have approximately six more hours to go! I remember when I was younger, I could barely stayed awake by 11, but once 11:55 came around, everyone was either drunk or dancing which led me to become alert. I would open the gifts, enjoy them, then the fireworks came. It's not like that anymore, the kids grew up and it became all about the younger kids, as it should be.

Anyway, I just want to wish you all a very Happy Holiday, and I will resume posting and blogging come Friday. Take care and be safe!

Thursday

It's almost the weekend! I am officially done with this semester and I have about a two-week break until the next one! I am so happy, but would be happier once I knew what my final grades are. Anyway, I am in need of an ugly Christmas sweaters, since I was invited to two this Saturday. I have become quite the social butterfly lately and I like it. It's good to get out of my comfort zone.

On another note, I won Kate Spade's The Eureka Book!, thanks to Nylon Magazine, and I am so in love with it. I don't want to tear it apart because it's so pretty, but I also want to decorate my room.

The struggle. I may just frame a couple of the awesome drawings and pictures from the book. I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, talk to you soon my sweets!Look how pretty it is!

Holiday Gift Guide: The Cool Kids

I started my holiday shopping late as usual, and that's never going to change in the future. It was mostly for my sister and the kiddies, which include my cousins kids. Let me tell you, I am in my mid-20's and I wanted to play with all the toys at the store! My inner Peter-Pan comes out when I shop for my favorite kids. Anyway, I found these cool gift ideas for those special little humans in your life! Enjoy!

1. Owls Organic Baby Blanket - SewnNatural
2. Knit Doll - The Land of Nod
3. Teepee Play Tent - Be Little You and Me
4. Matchstick Puzzles - Tinoccio
5. Marvel Super Hero Figurines - Pottery Barn Kids
6. Wooden Castle Blocks - A Mighty Girl

Tuesday

Three classes down, one more to go! I can honestly say this has been one of my favorite and most exciting semesters I've ever had thus far. I got very hands-on with the camera and behind the scenes and learned the basics of editing clips for a movie, as well as getting out of my writer comfort zone with screenwriting. I'm taking a break from studying for my last final, so I'll get to as much postings as I can! By the way, have you finished your holiday shopping? I started mine with my mother yesterday, and we are barely done. I'm trying to get it all done by Saturday, so I hope the shopping cosmic stars are in my favor! I hope you're enjoying your Tuesday so far. Talk to you soon!

Fashion: Polyvore Holiday Outfits

It's about that time of year again. Holiday parties, drinks, cocktail, gingerbread houses, the urge not to overeat at your family's party. Yeah, we've all been there, and every year it's the same resolution, "time to work out!" At least for me anyway. Besides the holiday galore, here are my favorite Holiday Looks from Polyvore, because if you're going to do all of the above, at least look good doing it!

Tuesday

I am so procrastinating right now. I'm supposed to finish my final outline for Screenwriting class but when I got home from class today, I fell asleep. When I woke up, I took a shower to refresh myself, but here I am, blogging and looking for holiday goodies. College life.

It's actually chilly here in Miami, and it's going to be like this for a while, so my constant struggle to limit my coffee intake continues thanks to the weather. To add to my procrastination, Pretty Little Liars, New Girl, The Mindy Project, and The Victoria Secret Fashion Show are all on tonight! On another note, I have been thinking of giving my blog a little makeover, I just haven't had the time to actually sit down and edit my blog here and there, but since I'll be on a two-week break, I'm sure I'll have plenty of time. Nothing major, but when it comes to posting DIYs, I'll write a description and where to find the projects. I also need to update my reading list. All in good time my friends! Anyway, off to blog I go.

Monday

Happy Monday! I hope you are all doing well. I'm currently taking a break from studying, writing outlines and editing and escaping to blog for a bit. If you're a college student and you're in finals week, I feel your pain. I have less than a week for this semester to be over, then it's winter break, and back to school in January. Can't stop now! Anyway, I'm going to blog for a bit, trying to get into the holiday spirit! Talk to you soon.

Inspiration

Tuesday

Hi lovelies. Sorry I have been MIA, but so much has happened since I last posted. I moved this Thanksgiving weekend, and until today I am all settled in. It was time for a change and I feel good about it. I feel like great things are coming my way and I am embracing the moment. I will miss my old house. My family and I lived there for the past 15 years, and it was such a bittersweet moment moving out, but it's a big chapter of my life that is now closed. It's time for better and greater things. Plus, Ikea shopping has been fun! I went for the first time on Sunday and I wanted to buy everything! Out of all things I got, I'm really happy with my bamboo purchase, which is happily displayed on my dresser.

I'm going to post as much as I can this week. I have three weeks left until this semester ends, so I will be in and out, busy with final projects and finals. I'm itching to post and share things with you guys, that's why I'm here today. I really hope you had a great Thanksgiving break and you're doing well. Positive thoughts my friends!
