TV: Girls

Girls is one of a couple of shows I started binge watching last summer. There was so much buzz surrounding the show that I gave a shot, and was immediately hooked. For some, it's not their favorite cup of tea, but for others it's just right. What I find interesting about the show is the GIRLS dynamic. These are characters that are completely flawed...and COMPLETELY unaware of it. And I like that in a show, that the characters are dysfunctional and not have their lives put together. There's no sugarcoating it. These are characters you love to hate, to love, then hate, then to love again (or hate).

Do I think there should be more diversity in the show? Yeah, a little diversity is a good thing.
Can the stories be real? Do they apply into an every day life? Maybe.
Are the stories realistic? They can be. Someone out there, who watches the show can relate to one or more of these characters.
Is the nudity TOO much? No, because look at Sex and the City...it wasn't call Sex and the City for nothing. There's this female empowerment to it.

If you're looking for a show to rev up your emotions, then I recommend Girls. Season 3 started Sunday, but it's never too late to start a show.
